Going to roleplay this weekend (yeah, that’s right like Dungeons & Dragons…dice, pens, and paper!!) Go ahead, say it, GEEK! I know and I love it…geek pride!

Actually, we play GURPS for those who care, a great, fairly realistic system. It’s a lot of fun. Been quite a while since I’ve played (only once or twice in the last five or six years!) I feel a little self conscious doing it sometimes, particularly that my partner will be around this weekend. But, you’re supposed to do what you enjoy, right?

In other news, my partner Ian and I are thinking about having a ceremony/committment ceremony/whatever the heck we’re supposed to call it (since if we call it “marriage” according to the conservatives we will single-handedly destroy the very fabric of society…pretty fragile fabric if we can destroy it that easily if you ask me, but I won’t get on my soapbox on that issue right now!).

Anyways, where do I turn to for tips on having a wedding, specifically a gay ceremony? I’d like to have it here locally in Dallas at somewhere small (only 25 people or so). Suggestions? I have no idea where to start. Plus, I want to keep the cost down. It’s crazy what people pay for weddings!! Plus, since it’s not legal for us, just symbolic, I don’t see the point in spending a huge fortune.
