Here’s my daily read that gets me through my work day:
* Wired News - tech news. These days with blogs they’re a little mainstream and behind the times but still an interesting selection of stories on technology and its impact on culture
* Austin friendly and Texas proud since 1936 (Marcia Gillespie’s blog) - How I keep up with Austin and the Norders
* BoingBoing.net - Tech blog, random cool links to all things techno-wonderful
*Gizmodo - Gadget site, see the latest rumored gadgets not yet to market
*WILWHEATONdotNET - Yes, I’m a geek, and I read his site. Hey, I relate.
*Inside the Mind of MelbGuy (James Nunn’s blog) - How I keep up with the Nunn-Mosses and Frisco
*Roland Piquepaille’s Technology Trends - Very good eye for catching articles in science journals and elsewhere on the latest technologies and their applications, along with good commentary
*Daily Kos - Almost too pro-Democrat for me, but interesting to see what’s on the minds of active Dems
*Rance - Probably all heard about this by now, some “anonymous celebrity” supposedly on the inside of Hollywood dishing it all out about celebs, parties, etc. Personally, I think he’s some teen/college student who reads a LOT of entertainment media and is pulling a fast one on everyone, still, amusing stuff
*Slashdot - Mainstream geek, but required reading nonetheless. Good community there.
*Salon - Where I go to learn the daily conspiracy under way by the right wing
*Atomiq - Gene Smith’s weblog on technology, IA (Information Architecture), politics, etc. I like his viewpoint, more middle of the road and open minded
And other more generic ones: CNN, NY Times, Dallas Morning News, Dallas Observer, The Advocate
See, I have a busy day every day!!
OK, I saw the Wil Wheaton thing and had to check it out. I can’t believe this kid is married! I also had no idea that the little kid “Vern” in Stand By Me turned out to be this stud:

June 7, 2004 @ 9:18 pmYou didn’t know about Jerry O’Connell? He was in a so-so sci-fi series a while back called Sliders. Yeah, he ended up fairly cute.
