My iPod and PC are working again like there was a never problem. Like a frickin’ cat (what me fall? no, I meant to do that). I did back up my data to the server though, hopefully I’ll do that fairly regularly.
Not much else happening lately, had a ‘offsite’ for my team at a colleague’s […]

My great-aunt Jackie passed away yesterday. She had a stroke several months back and has never done very well since then. I think she was unhappy in the nursing home and very likely in pain, as well as being trapped in her body (she could no longer walk and could barely speak). Overall, as they […]

Or does it just feel like everything’s breaking sometimes? Ian would get on to me for worrying about everything and overhyping it all, so I’ll put in a disclaimer here that I’m actually not that worried, and things aren’t that bad. It’s just annoying when several things in a row happen.
One of our trees […]

Went to see Farenheit 9/11 at the new Angelika at Legacy (in Plano) yesterday. First of all, the new theater is very nice (leather seats!), but I personally think the layout isn’t that great, I prefer the one down on Mockingbird by far.
As for the movie, I really enjoyed it. I think Moore pushes […]

This is my first fight scene I’ve ever written for a story. Thoughts? (It’s not very intense, but if fighting/blood/etc. bother you don’t read!)
Daniel met Ryan’s eyes only briefly as he minutely shook his head. In the same moment, they moved. It seemed so fast at the time, but later Ryan thought everything moved in […]

Well, if I had a typewriter it would. Actually, it would sit getting dusty since I don’t think I could write a story on one, I like too much being able to suddenly scroll to any point and tinker with it. I definitely prefer writing on the computer (plus backspace corrects SO many typos…I would […]

Back from Key West. Ian brought the laptop and dilligently travel-blogged from sunny Florida. I, on the other hand, completely disconnected. No cell phone, no e-mail, no nothing. I think that I REALLY needed it! I actually made it through work and the commute both ways and was positive the whole day. That hasn’t […]

Went to Austin this weekend with Jon and Vic to see Naji and Marcia and play some GURPS and other games. Jon is an M.D. now (and my friend Jennifer is a Veterinary Doctor!). Kudos to the two of them. I couldn’t make it through that much college I don’t think. I enjoyed my […]

Then just read this quick 15 minute ’summary’ of the new Harry Potter movie. It is HYSTERICAL! Especially if you’re a fan of the movies and books and noticed a few incongruencies between this one and the prior films.

You can now visit Ian’s blog for updates on things we do together (and it saves my hands from having to type it again!) j/k
Not much happening lately, had a nice weekend despite the rainy weather. The yard is looking great (I’ll post a pic when I get around to it). Saw the latest Harry […]
