Went to Austin this weekend with Jon and Vic to see Naji and Marcia and play some GURPS and other games. Jon is an M.D. now (and my friend Jennifer is a Veterinary Doctor!). Kudos to the two of them. I couldn’t make it through that much college I don’t think. I enjoyed my time in college and could see myself going back, but that’s nine years now they’ve been at it!

Not much else new here, other than the torrential downpour here in the DFW area that has gone on for weeks and is threatening to drown my yard. Working on a science fiction short story that should end up about 80 pages. So far it’s looking fairly good. I pulled it out and dusted it off the other day and re-read it. Typically when I do that with a partial story, I think, “This is complete crap“. But this time I enjoyed everything I read. So, I’m pushing on. I’m about 20 pages in and have about 3 or 4 more major plot points to develop along with a few character relationships. I’m debating how to end it. I’ll post it online once I’m done.
