My iPod and PC are working again like there was a never problem. Like a frickin’ cat (what me fall? no, I meant to do that). I did back up my data to the server though, hopefully I’ll do that fairly regularly.

Not much else happening lately, had a ‘offsite’ for my team at a colleague’s house in north Dallas. Gorgeous home!! It meant a half day of work, so I was happy to oblige (first person to arrive of course). Went to a happy hour yesterday for a co-worker, Jon-Jon. Some stupid Microsoft lawsuit about contractors wanting employee benefits is making companies (AA at least) get rid of any contractor that’s been around a while, even if they have a lot of experience and knowledge. So, we’ve had a lot of happy hours, interviews, and new faces lately. Some of them seem nice, but still, you get a feel with a group who’s worked together for a few years that is hard to replace.

Went to dinner with Jennifer and Dennis tonight. I’m glad to have them up in the Dallas area where I can see them more. Jenn’s liking her job as a vet, though sounds like she’s working pretty hard. Glad to see them (and their many assorted pets) doing well.
