A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Had a good, relaxing weekend. Helped Brian move into his new apartment (which is actually in the complex our last apartment was in). It’s a fabulous place, really a very nice complex. He has this great, relaxing view of a huge courtyard. Didn’t do nearly as much as Brian and Ian, they worked all weekend to get his stuff hauled over there. Now he’s got the fun job of unpacking it! ;-)
Had dinner with friends tonight: Chris and James, Brian, Jonas and Scott and Damir. Jonas and Scott went to the trouble to put together a DVD of our Key West trip and gave us a copy. It’s very cool! I’ve been toying around with the idea of getting a video camera for a while.

Finally put up the new shelves Ian bought at Ikea (I wasn’t sure we’d have enough room in the dining room after they went up, but we do!). They look incredible. We needed something to finish that room and have space to display nice antiques, dishes, etc. I’m actually getting the itch to finish the house out and paint the three open living areas a light beige color. We’ll see if that happens!

Well, it’s late, I’m off to bed for another mildly interesting week of work. :-| Baby shower this weekend for Ian’s sister, and Vegas in two weeks!

So did those shelves end up on the back wall of the dining room as Ian had envisioned?

They did. They look excellent. We just have to find stuff to put on them now. There’s one extra shelf, it’ll probably go in Ian’s office.
