And proud of it, damn it. We got a new red oak schumard to replace the green elm (which apparently the trees we got initially are lace bark elms — who knew?).

First off, GRRR. My site is giving me a hard time trying to login with a TypeKey to make comments on my own blog. I hate spammers!!!!
Now, for the odd title of this entry. I passed an older guy in a beatup old 70s sedan on the way into work today. He had the back […]

Great article over on Greg Costikyan’s game design blog about a no-frills release of 8 paper RPG games, The No Press Anthology, along with a short write up on each game. His archives aren’t working at the moment, so just go to his blog’s home page for the Sept. 18th entry on:

Well, sitting here surfing and blogging while Microsoft hacks my computer, err, installs the notorious Service Pack 2 for XP. I’ve heard bad things about it after it’s installed, it shuts down ports and such. That last post was depressing! So I went and surfed through my various RSS feeds for techno-geek delights and brightened my mood. Still working on the JSP refactoring for AA.com at work. Played Laser Tag this afternoon with some co-workers, always fun.
We started trying an herbal ‘no scratch’ for Nigel’s skin allergy, but not much […]

A friend sent me the link to this blog. Not sure if it’s a real person or just a propaganda front for the religious right, but either way it is a despicable, frustrating, sad portrayal of a gay person who has been fed lies by far right and thinks he can stop being gay.

I’m hesitant […]

This I’m blogging about first (well, haven’t checked James’ blog yet, but I’m blogging it before Ian). I know that’s important to all of you.
Relaxed today after the wine party last night. Thanks to Brian it was easy to clean up after (and to a certain someone, the little spill came right up!) Today […]
