I’ve heard recently people have received e-mail spam that has random strings of words (to bypass filters). Sometimes the words even come together randomly to create an unusual or almost beautifully eclectic phrase. Like poetry bubbling up from the ether of the internet’s subconsciousness.

Well, now the blog spammers are trying something along the same lines: various statements that sound very serious and philosophical, but they’re made as comments to random blog entries and obviously have nothing to do with the original entry (that and the from address and URL point to porn spam links). Here’s a few samples I’ve got recently:

Language is a form of human reason and has its reasons which are unknown to man.

I am not one of those who think that the people are never in the wrong. They have been so, frequently and outrageously, both in other countries and in this. But I do say, that in all disputes between them and their rulers, the presumption is at least upon a par in favour of the people.
