Oh my God!!! Wow! I’ve just finished my longest story to date. It is a 69 page novella sci-fi thriller. And, I think, it’s actually pretty decent. Right now it needs a HUGE amount of editing. So, don’t feel obligated to read it just yet (once I go over it though, I WILL want some feedback on this big bad boy!).
It feels so good to have this finished. I do hope I make myself edit it some before moving on (and I need to re-read it from start to finish). I’m really excited to get some feedback on this one. I’ve worked on it for months now…such a labor of love! I had a vision for the basic storyline right away though.
Honestly, I think the writing gets much better, faster paced, and more tightly woven the last half. My editing will probably involve streamlining the first half. I really want to write the sequel to this at some point as well.

November 23, 2004 @ 3:56 pmVacation was wonderful. Four days down in San Diego, one of our favorite places on the planet. Purchased books, attending a cool booksigning, and saw a great play. And time to read: WONDERFUL. I finished two books which, as you know, is difficult these days.
