Angels & Demons by Dan Brown
Just finished this one recently. His more famous work is The Da Vinci Code. Overall, a 7 (of 10). Good, fun fiction conspiracy thriller. With the same main character as The Da Vinci Code, it follows a similar formula. Somewhat predictable, but enjoyable. What brings Brown’s work a notch up above his competitors (what I call ‘airport novels’) is his rich use of European history, architecture, and language to make the fiction seem more real.
In this story, a conspiracy of vast proportions by the secretive Illuminate threatens the entire Catholic Church, but symbologist Robert Langdon is on hand to help save the day. Read the book for more details. ![]()
