Just saw Lemony Snicket’s a Series of Unfortunate Events. And unfortunately, even Jude Law’s guest appearance as the narrator can’t quite save this humdrum movie. Not that it’s a bomb mind you. Fun and imaginative in a Hogwarts kind of way, the plight of the children never really quite grabs you. Jim Carrey’s antics can […]

But I can’t think of one. Hey, just be glad I’m making an entry!
Had a lot of fun Sunday night at Chris & James house. We sipped Champagne (courtesy of Brian M.) and made sugar cookies along with Brian S., Damir and his friend Michael. Then, we proceeded to make a royal mess decorating […]

Ian’s back in town from his Florida trip (who knows, maybe it’ll inspire him to pick up the keyboard and start blogging again? Glad to have him home. I’ve got all our Christmas presents wrapped (that we’ve bought, still have a few left to get though).
The process I was watching the other night […]

Work was hell this week. I’m covering on an old project I used to work on since the resource that did manage it left, and the new one isn’t up to speed quite yet. And of course, the app took this week to throw up all over the place
Babysitting my nephew Colin tonight while […]

This is great! I loved Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory as a kid:

And now Tim Burton is re-doing it with Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka (I can’t imagine a better choice!). It looks seriously deranged. I hope Depp puts his usual amazing abilities to work though, from the preview it didn’t make him seem […]

Check out the latest digital actor. This guy created her using Maya, a popular 3D rendering program. Click on one of the Movie links to watch her ’screen test’. Amazingly life-like! I have to wonder how many years before they plant a virtual actor in a movie and you can’t tell the difference.

If you’re ever wondering what I REALLY want, it’s a silly thing. I made the mistake some years back of loaning out a book that meant something to me, The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Yes, I could go buy another copy of it, and I probably will soon because I wish to re-read the whole […]
