A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

OMG! My best friend Jennifer Wells (oops, Renner now!) is married. *sigh* I wish all of you from high school could have been there! Jenn and Dennis got married at the J.P. in Plano on Friday, March 11, 2005. It was really nice, the justice took the time to give the vows and helped make the moment very memorable and meaningful. I was about to start crying until Jennifer almost messed up the words and started to get the giggles, then I was afraid I’d laugh out loud!

I’ve known them for so many years since we started caving together at Texas A&M, and I’ve known Jennifer even longer. Wow. What is it about weddings that makes you so emotional? That it’s such a significant event in that person’s life? That it means everyone is growing up? I don’t know. All of the above.

The dress. I think the emotion is all about the dress :)

Awwwww. Jenn is so beautiful! I agree with prev. comment–the dress is fabulous! I giggled during my vows too. I think this phenomenon is more prevalent than we think. At least she didn’t laugh out loud for many interminable minutes like a friend of Zach’s did….

The picture doesn’t do the dress justice. It looked so beautiful in person. I was really amazed with her choice. I’ve always known Jennifer as a laid back, never dresses up kind of girl. I was surprised to see her in a full wedding gown! The way the fabric gathered at the side gave it a wonderful look. I loved it!
