Caught the movie Robots the other night with Jai and Ian. A fun, fairly predictable little animated adventure of the little guy that could. The “what would everyday task XYZ be like in a robot version of the world” prank got a little old. The animation was amazing…that type where half way through the movie, you realize you’re watching shadows and reflections and fluid motion that is completely computer generated. While CG still has a ways to go on replicating human/animal motion and skin tone, we definitely have reached realism on metallic surfaces.

The movie is good, with a number of guest appearances. Almost too many. The cast is fairly large for this sort of number. 3.5 stars out of 5.
