Ultimate Electronics is leaving the DFW area as part of Chapter 11

Not too surprised. They were high-priced and didn’t have all the peripherals. I walked in once and thought “and why would I come here instead of Best Buy?”.

In more bad news for Willow Bend from the “teach-you-to-keep-your-nose-in-the-air” department, Lord & Taylor is pulling out of that ghost town, err, mall. For those that don’t know, they opened this in Plano as a “better than thou” type mall (literally it was marketed as a high end only mall), and it did horribly. Even at Christmastime there is barely a crowd.
