A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Just got back from a great weekend of camping in a cabin (follow the links for more details…no need to repeat myself when someone else has already beat me to the punch in the blog-o-sphere, eh?). Had a fantastic time with Chris, James, Danny, Ian and myself and the four pooches.

I had nasty drainage irritating my throat all weekend, but other than a little extra sleep I didn’t let it drag me down. I’m going to the doctor this afternoon, she probably will tell me I’m taking the right stuff, but if need be she’ll give me some antibiotics and maybe some other pharma-goodness.

I came home to a great looking home and yard. I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished. It’s great to have a place that you feel very comfortable in, and proud of. I’ve finally found a way to get rid of my most annoying weed (annual bluegrass…a company called Image makes this stuff that kills this usually unkillable weed), and other than a few bare spots in the yard, everything is growing fantastically. As soon as the yard and trees green up and my spring plants get some growth I’ll post some pics. As for the house, the new beige color on the walls in the living areas makes the house look so much more finished.

Hope everyone had a good Easter weekend!

I think it would be nice to do a GURPS weekend like that one of these days

That would be a lot of fun! We’ll have to bounce that around and see what everyone thinks. Caddo Lake in east texas has some nice cabins, and the lake is beautiful to go canoeing on when we want to take a break.
