While I certainly don’t encourage any kind of violence and feel awful for the victims of such, I am in a way a little glad that the amendment happy fundamentalists who passed the anti-gay marriage constitutional amendments recently went too far and actually reduced the effectiveness of domestic violence laws (the amendment says no law can give marriage like rights to an unmarried couple, making the DV law which protects unmarried couples unconstitutional).

Hopefully this will teach them to slow down and make laws which protect all unmarried couples, gay and straight alike. So help me god if they pass a domestic violence law that specifically protects unmarried straight couples and not gay couples I’ll go postal on their medieval, ignorant, country bumpkin, dumbfuck asses!
