A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Well, I got my iPod back from iPodMods.com. If you need repairs, they’re the place to go. Friendly, helpful staff, who do great quick work. When I got it back I couldn’t even tell it’d been opened. My hard drive had problems. I don’t know if it’s from jogging with it, or from the problems synching where I’ve had to restart it, or what. But, they diagnosed it and replaced the drive for about half the cost of a new one. I’m going to try and take as good of care of it this time around as I can!!

I’ve almost finished Deception Point by Dan Brown listening to it in audiobook form from Audible.com burned to CD, so I loaded it to the iPod and am finishing it there. Very nice interface for listening to audiobooks on the iPod: if you leave the book and listen to music then return, it saves your position. Also, the next/previous track buttons will skip through large sections of the book for quick scanning. The book’s been really good and I’m loving audiobooks. Dare I say it, I almost look forward to my commute now!! And I’ve noticed I pretty much blow off stupid drivers now. I’m just like “whatever, just don’t interrupt my book!”

It so doesn’t feel like 9:00 at night! Feels more like 5 or 6. Oh well, it’s the weekend so I’ll stay up late if I want. Maybe do some writing or work on GURPS. Ian is off to make a big purchase. I won’t steal his thunder so I’ll leave it to him to blog about it. If he doesn’t though, just go bug him about it.
