A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Everything in the world is being podcasted now. What’s a podcast you ask? You are SO 2004 sweetheart. A podcast is a fancy word for a sound file. Yeah, that’s right. Basically, anyone with a microphone can record themselves reading the encyclopedia for all they care and post the recording on the web. People then religously get your latest ‘episode’, “Reading from Aardvark to Antwerp” and listen to it on their PC or download it to their mp3 player. The big deal now is iTunes is including podcasting into their latest version thus making it all more legit and opening it to the masses (the digerati masses at least that use iTunes!).

Just downloaded it myself (iTunes 4.9), and it’s quite handy. You can pick a podcast and tell it when to grab new episodes/recordings/broadcasts and whether to automatically put them on the iPod next sync.

Check out Shenida Weave’s No-Lye Mixshow, a recording of good dance mixes and a catty gay boy chatting it up.

Or, if you are a complete geek and are absolutely bored out of your mind, listen to these gamers roleplay the entire freakin’ World’s Largest Dungeon!

Oh, and get a podcast that suits your fancy over at iPodder.org
