A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

This is really beginning to hack me off. With uncompetitive salaries at AA, part of the reason I stay here in addition to good work and good people is a fun, relaxed environment. Specifically, that everyone can come in earlier or later and put in their 8 hours. Because so many of us have nasty commutes, driving during rush hour quite frankly sucks ass. So, my morning routine that meshes up with my natural sleep schedule quite well is to get up at 7, work out, do little stuff around the house and get to work by 9:30, missing most traffic.

Well, anyway, my point. We had a large meeting this week on Tuesday at 9:00. So, I get up early, skip my jog and go in. What’s that? Oh, they cancelled it the night before at about 6 after I’d gone home. They reschedule it for today at 9. So, I get up real early, do my workout and get here at 8:30. Guess what? They cancelled it again.

So, I just flat out told them, if you reschedule it next week before 10 I won’t be attending. I realize we have to have occasional meetings that are earlier then the schedule I prefer, but twice in a week to rearrange my schedule for nothing is really annoying!
