Went to Vidor this weekend to see Ian’s family. It was his grandfather’s birthday. Had a good time, though the drive there is long! Ian and I usually do a fair job of keeping each other company on the road though.
The dogs enjoyed meeting War and Ren, his parents (well, I should say Ian’s dad’s) puppies. Caleb just sat by the back door and whined the whole time of course (he’s only happy if people are in the same area he is!). Skylar I think did something to a back paw, he seems to be licking his back paws a lot and not walking around as much. I’m not too worried as he’s getting around fine.
Came home and mowed the lawn, and my red oak attacked me! I was walking right next to it and a small dead branch was pointed at me dead on so I didn’t see it and walked right into it! I should be thankful though, it scratched my face pretty good but another inch off and it would have got my eye.
Glad you guys had a good time & made it back safe. Can’t say the same for staying safe at home, though, evidently! Don’t go around damaging your merchandise just before you head off for NOLA
July 18, 2005 @ 12:14 pmYou need TWO good eyes to drink a hurricane in NOLA, it’s a new city ordinance!
Glad you guys made it back safely, and watch out for those trees. Funny how you can drive 60+ mph on the highway safely, and then almost impale your face while mowing your lawn.
So THAT’s why they say wear safety goggles!?
