Saw Fantastic Four last night with Ian. I think I came out of it rating it more highly than Ian did. I’m sure I’m a bit biased as I enjoy anything of the fantasy/sci-fi genre. Fantastic Four as I’m sure most of you know was Stan Lee’s first successful comic book hero team for Marvel […]

The Democrats have been fighting back lately. I don’t know what took them so long, but good for them! They’re going after Rove, the likely leaker of Valerie Plame’s identity (he was involved in a past leak scandal, so it makes him suspect, not to mention it’s just his style).
I do hope they get to […]

Do you know where your insomniac friend or family member is?
No, it’s not a rhetorical question. Sitting in front of the damn computer trying to find something to go to sleep with!!! This sucks. In just 3.5 hours I’ll be ‘getting up’ and I haven’t really gone to sleep yet tonight.

Well, a nice, relaxing weekend. But I’m glad to be back home. We went to visit Ian’s family and saw his parents, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, other sister and her boyfriend. Carson, our nephew, is SO cute! He clings to his mamma though. He warmed up to everyone over the weekend. The more he sees all […]

Kids can be annoying sometimes, don’t get me wrong. But there are other times when they are exuberantly happy and innocent they can’t help but make you smile.
One thing I’ve always got a kick out of is driving up behind a school bus and seeing the kids get all excited trying to get the driver […]

As I’m sure any of you know, there’s no love lost here for President Bush. But to show I’m *cough* as fair and balanced as the Fox News Network, I thought I would make a pro-Bush post.
I was glad to read this article about Bush stating that the process to replace O’Connor should be completed […]

I thought I’d weigh in on this little bit that’s been in the news lately. If you’re not aware, reporters are being tried and jailed for contempt of court for not turning over sources that informed them that Valerie Plame was an undercover CIA operative.
First of all, let me say I was extremely pissed that […]

I find it highly amusing that the administration is getting upset that right wing conservatives are attacking Bush’s friend, Attorney General Gonzales, as a possible Supreme Court nominee.
It’s almost like they’re in shock that the far right can get overly-worked up about issues. I’m sitting here thinking “come on! None of their hysterics til now […]

Hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend, I know I did.
We saw War of the Worlds a few days ago. Ehh. It was intense at times, and cool special effects. Tom Cruise just didn’t fit the role. They made variations from the original storyline that just didn’t have any point. Wasn’t impressed, but didn’t hate it […]

I don’t know if I’ll be blogging over the weekend, so I thought I’d go ahead and throw out there Happy 4th of July! Hope everyone has a great time with their family and friends celebrating our country and the freedoms we have.
Our country is faced with many problems but I have to have faith […]
