A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

I have this odd compulsion that if I’m going to create a blog entry on more than one topic, I have to somehow title the post to mention all the topics, and do it using a little alliteration, rhyme, or some other grammatical or syntactical mechanism. Hence, scissors and sand. Witty, huh? ;-)
Anyways…. trying a new stylist out. To most gay men, women, and metrosexuals, your hair stylist is an important person in your life. If you go to someone else, the next time you come back you feel like you cheated on them and got caught. I haven’t completely switched just yet, at least I’m not planning to, I’m just sort of playing the field as it were. I like my current stylist, but she’s not very creative. I’m growing my hair out and have been wanting some ideas as to what to do, but she basically just asks “how do you want it cut?” and does it. So, on my friend Vic’s recommendation I’m trying a new stylist who actually happens to be the sister of an old high school friend. I’ll see if I stick with her or go back to my old stylist.

In other news, Ian and I picked the place for our September vacation! I’ve never waited this close to do it. But, it’s kind of cool, there’s always a few rooms open somewhere, and we have a much better idea of the flights for standby. So, we’re going for six days and five nights to beautiful, sunny Puerto Vallarta! We got a great deal at a nice all-inclusive resort. All-inclusives are nice because you don’t have to pay for or travel to anything if you don’t want to. Just swim, eat, drink, lay out and sleep. I can’t wait.
