A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

I have a lot of memories associated with Depeche Mode’s music. I’ve enjoyed most of their work immensely, and my first concert with Jon and Vic was to a DM concert, Violator I think, or Songs of Faith & Devotion. Personal Jesus was one of those songs that I just rocked out to in the car (past tense? who the hell am I kidding, I still do!).

On the season premiere of Smallville (which was reasonably good, continuing to kick it up a notch, though there’s not a whole lot more they can do scoped as they are within the subset of the Superman mythos), they played a song from the new album, Playing the Angel. I’m actually not sure which one. But it was GOOD! Can’t wait to download it from iTunes. The album doesn’t come out until October 18th. Now why do they have to go and play a song on a show and tell you about it, only to find out you can’t buy it yet? Huh? Why you gotta go and be such a little bitch?
