A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Ian planned a picnic Sunday and made a fantastic meal. It would have been nice, even with the cool weather (Ian made spiced cider to take care of that!), but it got wet and yucky. So, we had it indoors with Chris & James and still had a nice time. I joked with Ian that fall had come and gone, as we were still in the low 80s a week ago, but yesterday it was down in the 40s/50s. Getting up this morning, I saw that was closer to the truth than I thought: there was a fine sheen of frost over all the roofs and grass. I didn’t expect that this early! I’ll have to see this evening if it was a sufficient frost to kill my summer plants. Time to rip them all up and mulch I guess. Gotta love Texas as a gardener for keeping you on your toes.

So I got up early this morning to get into work and restart the server for the testers. I meant to bring my laptop home and do it from home, but of course I forgot. Well, rush hour was bad, and then, 121 Business South was completely shut down, so I had to wander through the backroads of Lewisville until I found a way to 121. When I finally get in after an hour of driving and restart the server, I find out the web servers in our test environment are down for some other reason, so the testers can’t access the servers anyways. Somebody I was trying to tell me I should have just come in at my regular time.
