The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, on Comedy Central, is one of the funniest shows on TV today. It is a sharp, biting satire of mainstream media (MSM) and modern day American politics. I can only imagine what it’s like if you’re not current on world events and you watch only this show instead of [...]

Had another great roleplaying/gaming weekend down in Austin with Naji & Marcia, Jon, and Vic. As always I had a blast. We continued in Naji’s GURPS 4E campaign, and managed to get a few games in of Formula De, Carcassone, Bang! and Survive.
The game designer in me loves Carcassone. Incredibly simplistic mechanics (you lay a [...]

Good lord. One stupid e-mail can cause a world of pain. The e-mail I sent yesterday to our product leads and my fellow tech leads about the web mail being shut down caused a ruckus. If I’d just waited 10 more minutes I would have seen that it was to protect us from the virus [...]

Yeah!!! Connecticut civil unions began over the weekend. I realize I’ve been very negative on fundamentalist activity here for a while and I need to try to be positive once in a while. Life isn’t all doom and gloom. So I’m glad to report the GLBT community is making some progress. Photo courtesy [...]

Well, this weekend started with a Texans United/No Nonsense in November house party at Chris & James house to listen to the conference call with Glen Maxey, head of NNIN as well as to raise funds and talk about the amendment (oh, and have a good time in general!). While Glen certainly isn’t the world’s [...]
