Wow. This brought tears to my eyes. It’s sad, but at the same time I’m so very glad he got to enjoy such a monumental life milestone before he died.

The U.K. recently began allowing civil unions. Like marriages, you sign up and have a waiting period. People have started signing up, but none have actually yet occurred.

They decided to make an exception and allow a 46 year old with terminal lung cancer to marry his partner of seven years.

The next day, he died.

The IBEC (International Blogging Ethics Code) clearly states that one must follow a depressing blog entry with something equally as uplifting within one hour of the submitting the depressing entry.
