A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Well, I’ve nearly made it through the first week back after the break. It was a four day week so that helped. And luckily I haven’t had much of people coming by and bugging me in the first five minutes I’m in the office. That’s one of my big pet peeves. I realize I get in later than some people (9 to 9:30), but it’s not that late as many people come in about that time. I just want 10-15 minutes to get booted up, read all my e-mail and RSS feeds, open up the code, etc. and get back into my groove. I need to have a little sliding door on my cubicle that I can shut for a half hour when I come in.

Not much else happening but more of the usual and the same. Hope everyone else is making it through their week ok too!

Hi, I saw your comment from early 2005 about how Caddo Lake has some nice cabins. I was wondering how gay (lesbian) friendly it is? I live near there and was thinking about taking my girlfriend there for a romantic getaway, but kind of suspected most of the management of the accomodations would be a little too right-wing. I’d appreciate any insight you could give me, especially any particular cabins you know are under gay-friendly management. Thanks. Happy New Year!

Man, you said it. I hate it when I get bombarded with questions before I can even boot my computer and get a cup of coffee. The worst part: 90% of the questions are the kind that either they should know the answer to or they shouldn’t bug me with in the first place (eg, “do you know where the blank labels are?”). Arggh!
