A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Well, the cat’s out of the bag. Ian and I are finally going to tie the knot in June in Key West. We’re keeping it small and simple. When it comes to weddings, while I do want one, I’m no Charlotte! :-) We’ve been tentatively planning it for quite a while, but we have a date so this time it will really happen!

While I may not want a huge one, I do have specific ideas about my wedding, and Ian has as well. That’s been part of the reason for the delay (that and you just have to have a certain amount of motivation to get started and say “ok, we’re doing this!”). We’ve disagreed some, and I’m sure we will some more, but the important thing in the end is I get to stand (in a gorgeous place) before my family and friends and the person I love and state the vow I’ve had in my heart for several years now: that through thick or thin, better or worse, I’ll be there for him like I know he’ll be there for me for years and years of good times and memories.
