Almost done with this huge project. We way underestimated it. Luckily I’m in charge on the rest of the projects in this effort and I won’t let others optimistic estimates affect my judgement. I’m going to do detailed deep dives on my design before I estimate the next project (that and pad the hell out […]

On a scale I can handle. I’ve been working on a model for my train set, a barn, silo and chicken coop. The coop is done but the barn still has a ways to go. I’ll post pictures when I’m done. I’ll keep this short as I got a nasty cut in the tip of […]

Ok you know me I blog about something saying I haven’t done it yet so I have to go do it. I created a flickr and del.icio.us account a while back but didn’t do much with them. I may play around with them some more. I just tried out the new web 2.0-centric browser, flock, […]

Well I submitted my home page with my writings to one of those old-fashioned pre-Web 2.0 social networking on the web thingies, a web ring. Just finished Eragon by Christopher Paolini, and have started reading the next one, Eldest in his Inheritance trilogy. While knowing that he wrote the book at 15 and published by 19 turns my soul a verdant shade, I must give the author kudos for a great, engrossing fantasy.
The series is being targeted at the “young […]

I had a better post formulated about this documentary we watched the other night, but as I’m perenially busy here at work and never think to blog at home this will have to do. The movie is a recent documentary about the movement for equal marriage rights for gays. Nothing amazing, but it was […]

The whole Muslim cartoon thing is interesting. It sparks hypocrisy everywhere. The U.S. fresh from bashing gays in the last few elections, clucks and says “Shame on you Europe, you really should be more respectful of other’s beliefs”. And “the Middle East really needs to become used to Western pluralism”. Ha!
Then, the Muslim community […]
