Currently my friends Vic, Jon, Naji, Marcia and myself are roleplaying in a fantasy setting in a world Naji has created. Since we’re in two cities though (Austin and DFW), we can’t always get together that frequently. So we’ve tried out some RPG by e-mail. I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but it’s actually a really great way to keep in the adventure between sessions. Obviously combats or anything die roll crunch would be tedious and difficult to coordinate, but for just general storytelling, character/plot development it works great.
Meanwhile I’ve got two GURPS adventures I’m working on writing: a modern day horror/supernatural one off, and the second adventure in a campaign in a fantasy world I’ve created. Both of which have been sitting around for too long now gathering dust. I’d just blame it on my busy work schedule but I just haven’t been in the mood to dedicate the time. I don’t write adventures in 30 minute sessions, I have to sit down on a weekend for 3-4 hours and crank some of it out, and I just haven’t had the inclination or sufficient free time to do it that way. Hopefully soon though as I know certain people are anxious for both to be finished!
