Had a great weekend. It started off celebrating Ian’s b-day in style at The Melting Pot (fondue) and the Velvet Hookah in Addison, both of which were a blast. The hookah lounge is a very laid back place with low lighting, pillows on the floor, and hookahs and drinks to enjoy while trance-y music plays. I have to say, the one in Deep Ellum gets better points on atmosphere, but still very nice.

Today was burgers & dogs in our backyard (you were wondering what the title was about!). Got a little warm, but it was nice to enjoy the sun before the full brunt of the Texas summer hits us. We installed a small mister system which helped. It’s always nice to enjoy the company of good friends along with good food and drinks.
