A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Very glad to see this technology coming out. I had the idea for it a while back and obviously others have as well. A touchscreen is neat, well and good and all, but you don’t have the tactile feedback of a typical input device. In other words, you can’t feel the buttons. It’s the biggest beef with those cool universal, programmable remotes that have a huge touchscreen where you can just make buttons appear anywhere on it. They light up, but still, if you’re watching a movie and have the remote in hand, you should be able to feel for the pause button (or you could be like Sony and make your button shapes and arrangement non-intuitive!).

So this technology will make the screen push back at you and make a small click like you pushed a button. I prefer more the technology they mention at the bottom of the article, that lets you feel the individual buttons, scroll bars, etc.
