A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

May not seem like a lot of time. But when you’re driving to work it is. A stretch of State Highway 121 opened today, probably about 8-10 miles long. I took it into work this morning, and it was SO nice! I don’t think many people knew about it yet, and most probably thought it was already being tolled. It will be in September, but it’s free for now.

And when I pulled into work, I’d made it in 32 minutes. Six minutes less than my usual commute. It felt so fast. Especially because of the high speed and few stops. I can’t wait til the whole thing is done. And tolls or no tolls I’ll be taking it!

That’s 12 minutes of your life per day, one hour per week. You wouldn’t volunteer to sit in traffic for an hour a week would you? :)

I’m happy for you that it’s open, and share your anticipation in having the rest of 121 opened all the way to the airport.

I know that feeling. I had the same experience when Bush opened between 635 & 35. It made the commute from work (Irving) to school (UTD) much better.
