Saw Pirates of the Carribean 2: Dead Man’s Chest this weekend and also watched one of my Netflix rentals, Stealth.

The Pirates sequel was fun. It was long and I think would have been better if it were shorter. I agree with most people who’ve seen it in saying I would have loved to see more of Johnny Depp’s great character Captain Jack Sparrow along with some better script writing. Not as good as the original, but still good. And there will be a third as well next year.

Stealth was one of those cheesy action flicks that came out last year and virtually went direct to DVD. I wasn’t expecting much, just a fun action movie. God was it awful. The plot and script were seriously about as deep and well thought out as the shoot’em up video games at the arcade where you get a story snippet before the action on each level. The characters seemingly randomly end up in settings that the whole thing felt way too contrived.
