Work from home heaven!

I’m working from home today while my car is in the shop. The brake calipers finally gave up the ghost. 120k miles though, so not bad! ;-)

I finally got the VPN client installed on my home PC, so now I can have my work laptop on the corporate VPN for defect tracking, QA, and mail, and my home PC can do the development VPN work. Before it was a pain in the ass to switch. I also got the wi-fi working again on the laptop at home, which makes the above possible (before I was using my home PC’s ethernet cord). And, I can listen to iTunes while I’m working! (If I’m not in the dev VPN, I don’t think they’ll work together   Scratch that! It works! I’m listening to iTunes on my home network, VPNed to dev compiling Java, VPNed into the office checking mail and grepping production logs! Woohoo!!! ;-)

Ok. I’m hungry now. Time for lunch. That’s enough productivity for one morning of working at home!

    Hehe. No, work naked. That’s the default. ;-) Boxers actually is my preferred attire. Nothing better than being on a conference call in your boxers.
