A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

I went to Half-Price Books yesterday. LOVE that store! B&N is nice of course, but you can’t beat picking up half a dozen big sci-fi paperbacks for twenty bucks. I’ve been needing some big, crunchy epic sci-fi stories full of robots, space ships, AIs, FTL travel, etc. I can sink my reading teeth into for a while. Especially with cold weather coming on, you’ve just got to have good books to curl up with and read. The first one is already promising. I’ll try to post some reviews of them as I finish them.

On the music front I’ve been enjoying Robbie William’s new song, “Kiss Me” (which is a cover I believe). Very pop, but just has a nice sound and rhythym to it. Also, Nemesis, a pop duo consisting of (cute) gay twin brothers has a good hit out, #1 in Heaven. Nothing high brow here, just some fun dance/pop music to keep me bopping on my drive.

I’ve also been on an emo kick with Panic at the Disco, Evermore, and lately Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars”. Yeah, I know, it’s what everyone’s listening to, but I can’t help it. It’s good! ;-)
