A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

One more step closer to equality. That’s now five states out of 50 that have some sort of marriage-type law for gays & lesbians on the books. Ten percent!  We have a long ways to go but we’ve come so far in so little. The anti-marriage laws/amendments that were pushed in will take longer to undo, but they’ll fold as well. Just hopefully it’s all in my lifetime. DOMA will eventually fail in Supreme Court under the Full Faith & Credit clause of the United States Constitution, I have no doubt. It’s just a matter of the GLBT groups being patient and finding the right set of courts and judges to work the case up the chain properly.
