A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Since I wore a t-shirt saying “I’m blogging this” yesterday. ;-) Ian made that shirt for me, for Christmas. I’d seen the one on thinkgeek.com and wanted it but this one was so much better (made with loving care, first of all), but it was on a nice, fitted size small Banana Republic shirt, and as I recall the thinkgeek one only went down to medium (and those “slogan” shirts you buy from places like that are never fitted very well).

So, here’s the requisite blog post my shirt inferred I would make.

Yesterday was game day! I love playing board games and card games. I love the creativity put into making the games: the themes, the delicate balance of the elements of the game. We played Zombies! (fun, but needs to be scaled down to be shorter), Pit, Formula De, and Tsuro (there were some side games of Guillotine and another Dragon-themed game I don’t know the name of — we had enough people there we could do two games at once!).

All in all it’s been a great Christmas break, and thankfully there are still many days left to enjoy it! I’m getting to catch up with old friends, my friend Kris is in from San Diego and joined us for the games, and I’m having dinner with Helena, in from Miami, tonight. We had a great time with Ian’s family starting a new tradition of visiting his sister in Austin for Christmas and spent Christmas Day with my family. Plus, gifts like cologne, sweaters, and a bluetooth headset don’t hurt either!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well!

Bluetooth headset, eh? Walking around the city/on the Metro I play a little game called “Bluetooth or Crazy?” wherein I try to guess if the person talking to his/herself is on the phone, or just insane. In your case, at least I’ll know! ;) Happy New Year!

Yeah, it’s even got a little blinking blue light on the side to let everyone know. I loved one review of it who didn’t care for the light as it might let malicious passerbys know you have a headset and phone to steal, and called it the “mug me” blue light. :-D
