A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Well, I hauled out the model paints this weekend. I have a new building for the train set I want to paint and put together but I need a couple of new colors, so it has to wait. Instead, I began drybrushing another factory-type building I have that actually had pretty decent base colors on the pre-dyed plastic.

After that I moved to a miniature figure I’d worked on previously. I haven’t done serious miniature painting in years. I’ve taken some tips from my friend Vic though, and that combined with infinitely more patience than I used to have I did a fairly decent job (if I may say so myself!) on the figure, a ranger with bow & sword. I’ll try to get a pic up here soon of him.

Now I’m inspired to go start pulling out all my unpainted miniatures and give them a new look! ;-)

Update: Here’s the pic (with much thanks to Ian for help in getting our camera to focus on something so small up close!) :-D
