Well, maybe not found them yet, but they’ve decided to at least go looking for them. About damn time they got up the gumption to call out Dictator Dubya on his “it’s my war dammit go play with your own toys” mentality. Sorry, buddy, but Congress is the one that declares war, funds war, and is an equal power to the executive branch. Congress has long been lax on their war powers but its fully within their rights to halt this war. Bush is commander-in-chief when we’re in a war, but it’s not solely his call to decide where we go make war and for how long.
I think it’s obvious to anyone with half a brain that we’ve basically just recreated Vietnam a generation later, with absolutely no regards to history. It’s as if it never happened. I didn’t even live through it and I knew going into this it’s what would happen. It’s why many other countries stayed out of it and said it was a bad idea.
My guess is three years til we pull out. Mainly, because that will be after the next president makes it into office. Is pulling out the best strategy? No. But, I think it’s likely we will. That’s my two cents.
OK, but how long ’til we’re out of Iran?

I wrote an entry about the same issue and my title was “Well, at least one Senator has balls.”
Crazy!
