Well it’s been a slow period here posting. Not much new to post! Busy at work and not doing much at home other than piddling with my various hobbies.
I’ve started to get a writing/create a roleplaying adventure itch again (they’re pretty much the same thing!). I’m creating a wiki on QD to flesh out a new RPG world for a GURPS adventure. Just finished creating a more novel world, Skylands, for the same purpose, which we gamed in once, but this one will be a bit more generic and stereotypical to make it easier to port gaming supplements into and hopefully get a faster turnaround on creating new adventures (I’m gaming about once a year at my current pace!). The wiki is embarassingly skeleton-like at the moement (I literally geeked out and created an IA - Information Architecture - site map diagram for it first and created those pages, but they have no content) so I won’t link to it just yet.
I did however post some of my nonfiction essays on my main page which I’ve written a while back. And, I published a new one I just wrote. I had the idea for it the other day as I was waking. Several of my entire story lines for what I write have come from a dream/daydream I’ve had as I lay in bed slowly waking up, my mind going through what I would write down. This particular one is my memory of a rather exciting event from my childhood, when a flood caught my mom and I unawares in our car. Anyway, read if you like and let me know your thoughts. I may try to churn out and refine some more essays and possibly look into shopping those around to an appropriate magazine as I seem to be more suited to that type of writing of late than fiction. I did however submit my sci-fi novella Into the Void to a publisher the other day though. They accept the first few chapters so hopefully that will be enough to interest them for the rest. I actually think it’s a decent read, especially given the size of the work (it’s my largest to date).
The essays are towards the bottom of my home page.
