A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

We moved Queerlydigital.com to a new service. Between that and the PC migration I can definitely tell you it’s good to try and stay in one place digitally as long as possible! Most things are working including my blogs. The wiki I was working on for a GURPS campaign is hosed and probably will be for the foreseeable future unfortunately as I can’t get PHPWiki to work on the new server.

My work proxy has been pissing me off lately as it’s either outright blocked my webmail or gives me these weird 500 server not found errors intermittently, only to have it work a few hours later. I just turned on boxtrapper and now I can’t access it again to add e-mails to it, so if you send me an e-mail it may bounce back and ask you to reply to get on my whitelist. It’s a pain, but there is way too much junk mail out there to live without it. Something about the way these hosting providers operate too, as each time I switch my spam spikes.

Also, DNS propagation means if you send me e-mail over the next day or two it might go to my old inbox which I’ll try to check once a day the rest of the week but I may not get it.

*UGH*! ;-)

UPDATE:  Yay! This death star is now fully operational. I’ve got e-mail all fine and dandy at home and work, and the wiki is installed. What was the issue you ask? Oh, umm… I was trying to install PhpWiki and I’d actually had a TikiWiki running before. It installed cleanly and the SQL import worked flawlessly. I can’t believe it! My PC is pretty much up to par now as well. Whew.
