A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

This weekend was my friend Victor’s 30th birthday celebration, held at Putt-Putt. Had a blast riding the cars on the track. And well, the second part of the title? Let’s just say Vic and I tried our hand (or our feet) at Dance Dance Revolution and I found out just how bad I am at that game.

Saturday was a trip to the Fort Worth Modern for the Mueck exhibit. If you haven’t caught it yet, you should. First of all, if you haven’t been to the new Modern yet, that in itself is worth a trip. The building is absolutely beautiful. The collection, is, well, modern. Some is good, some looks like junk from a garbage heap. But Mueck’s hyperrealistic human sculptures made from painted silicone resin or eerily lifelike. Except for the fact that they’re rarely full size, ranging from 20 inches to 20 feet in length.
