A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Ian and I are in Atlanta this weekend attending a workshop for our adoption agency, the Independent Adoption Center. It’s exciting to get to this stage. We thought we were just days away from having our birthmother letter ready and we’d then just wait for someone to pick us. But we got overwhelmed yesterday with information on how to create the letter and the accompanying pictures! This is your one chance to stand out from the crowd for the birth mother, so you have to do it just right. As soon as we get home we’ll be taking pictures and creating our writeups!

We definitely picked a gay friendly agency. Of 6 couples attending the workshop, three are gay! The trick now will be to practice patience. Which, if you know me, isn’t necessarily one of my fortes. :-)
