I finally finished another story. Had the idea for this one a while back and have been slowly working on it. Not a big or complex story, just had troubles keeping the creative juices flowing. Because of the long time it took to write and a bit of ‘forcing’ it took to finish it, it’s probably awful and needs serious editing. Something I’m flat out awful about. But, I’ll give it a try. It might be suitable for one of the mags I subscribe to that publishes fantasy work, Leading Edge.
The story is set in a typical medieval setting, complete with magic, thieve’s guilds and other races. Two thieves meet up at a chance encounter trying to make the same house on the same night. It has a slight romantic element to it. It toggles between two points of view, perhaps too much. I’m really selling it here, aren’t I? Well, I’m glad it’s done and that I got myself back into the groove a bit.
