Ian has relaunched his crafts and cooking blog Trashy Diva Living as So Very Varied. Check it out when you get a chance. He’s given the site a great new look. With the use of a lightbox (I think that’s the right word), he’s taken some nice pictures of crafts in progress. Next up is […]

New widget on the sidebar showing random games from my collection at BoardGameGeek. Only have a few games entered so far but I plan to add more. Eventually I’ll have all my books on Shelfari and all my games on BGG. If you enjoy board or card games BGG is a great place to find […]

Bill Maher hits it dead on when it comes to rationalism/atheism and religion. I thought he was fairly liberal but I didn’t realize we shared this viewpoint in common.

Ian and I caught the indie film Juno the other day at the Angelika. This is a great, earnest comedy about a young girl who becomes pregnant and quickly grows up dealing with everything her situation implies. With an all star cast like Ellen Page, Michael Cera & Jason Bateman (both from Arrested Development), Allison […]

Ian, my mom and I attended a performance of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra featuring Bernadette Peters last night at the Meyerson. All in all a very enjoyable performance. Peters is more to Ian’s liking than mine so I wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy myself. Turns out I was pleasantly surprised.
The evening began with the […]
