A Zen gay atheistic Texan’s perspective

Well, we are on the verge of having our birthmother letter approved in the adoption process. Everything these days has moved online, apparently including a birthmother’s search for the right adoptive home for her child. So we have created an online counterpart to our letter:

IanAndBobby.com

While our agency is going to work with us and birthmothers to find the right match, many matches actually come from outside the agency. Good, old-fashioned networking. For a birthmother to find our site online, it has to be indexed by search engines, site directories, etc. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but as I was googling to find appropriate directories, I discovered that there are many places where we can list our site along with other hopeful adoptive parents. For a fee. A very big fee! Well, there are costs enough associated with the process so I’m hoping to avoid these.

So I’m going to do the online equivalent of ‘hoofin’ it’ and get the word out myself.  Hence this post! Help us spread the word. Yes, I’m asking for you to write a post about us and link to the above site. Yes, I know, I’ll owe you one. ;-) Be sure to use lots of words around it like “open adoption” “birthmother” “adoptive parents” etc.

I promise to keep you updated as the journey continues!
