Well if you know me at all you know I am an AVID reader! I’ve thought for a while now it would be nice to catalog the books I’ve read and enjoyed somewhere. Share the list with others, find people who like the same books to chat about them, and have a reference so if someone asks me for a good recommendation I can go look through all my ratings/notes on books I’ve read.
I first found LibraryThing, which is ok. But then I found Shelfari. They have a great looking website with lots of Ajax-y RIA style widgets so you can easily add books to your ’shelf’ and rate them. If you visit my site directly rather than RSS you’ll see I have a new widget on the right which shows some of my favorites from my Shelfari shelf. Or, you can visit my Shelfari shelf directly. Not many books yet but I plan to add more!
That’s a cool site. I wonder if their wishlist functionality can integrate with Amazon. Now that would be nice!
