Creativity Palette

Welcome to my new blog, Creation of a Fantasy World. Here I intend to experiment in creating an environment in which to entertain two goals:

• A basis for roleplaying adventures in the GURPS system


• A background for short stories and novels of the fantasy/medieval genre

In attempting to create such a world, I have several goals:

• To take into account factors that affect the real world (culture, religion, sociological phenomenon)


• To grow as a writer


• Possibly to create a world rich enough to either provide substance for solid stories or as a worldbook for a roleplaying system

Particular factors I wish to develop are:

• Geography


• Religion


• Culture


• History


• Races and their interactions

And an overall goal is to create something fun, creative, interesting, and unique while relying on existing real and fantastical worlds as guidelines for what to create and focus on.
