Tile based games seem to be all the rage lately. Basically, to make the game more unique each time you play, rather than having a board that is the same, you have a stack of tiles, or small cardboard pieces. Shuffle them up, then the setup of the game is to randomly lay out all or some of them in some fashion (you can also size the ‘board’ to the number of players). I’m surprised I haven’t seen a dungeon tile game yet (one may exist, but I’m not aware of it).
Typical dungeon game: characters like elf wizards, dwarf warriors, etc. Different dungeon cards have monsters, treasures, etc. My thought was each player starts in a corner and lays out several tiles, trying to get to the center for the final challenge. The dungeon would be mazelike, only certain sides of a tile are open and can connect to the next piece.
Questions: how would this be unique from games like Talisman? What enjoyment would the tiles aspect provide to the game?
